Join Iowa Safe Schools for Youth Activism 101! This workshop is tailored specifically for youth who want to make a difference in their communities. Gain a solid foundation in leadership skills and community building strategies in this interactive workshop.

Parents, family, and allies are invited to learn how to support trans youth from trans people themselves. Our panelists will share some of their personal family experiences including missteps, successes, and challenges.

Join Ames Pride at Ames Public Library for a viewing of the film Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen, a documentary about how real transgender people's lives and experiences are portrayed in movies and television. The showing will be followed by discussion with prompts provided by the creators of the film.
