Your donation directly supports the mission of Ames Pride, including organizing Ames Pridefest.

Ames Pride is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded to promote community building among LGBTQIA+ individuals, to educate the community of issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people, and to facilitate an environment that values the intersectional identities of all people living in and around the City of Ames. We are committed to maintaining a community that recognizes and values the inherent worth and dignity of every person, fosters mutual respect among its directors and volunteers, encourages each individual to reach their own potential, and builds momentum for the equitable treatment of all people.

Ames Pridefest is the signature event sponsored and organized by Ames Pride.  This event encourages the community to come together to support LGBTQIA+ people and families. As such, our pride festival event is an all-ages and family-friendly event. We hope that Ames Pridefest serves as a connection point between LGBTQIA+ people and the community that supports them.

Ames Pride reserves the right to reject a potential sponsor that does not meet the spirit of the mission and values of Ames Pride, its partners and Ames Pridefest. Under no circumstance can Ames Pride accept funding or donations directly from tobacco or alcohol companies. Companies that sell these products may be approved.
